The candidate will be responsible for the data management, planning, configuration, start-up commissioning & documentation of a process control project assigned to him and sold by the Sales Department of Eurotherm Italy.

Functions/Specific responsibilities

• Projects

• Control of all the material required for the project

• System configuration
• System start-up commissioning
• Issue system documentation
• Submit weekly reports, time/hours & expenses
• On site technical support
• Perform on site technical jobs
• Submit detailed report of the job performed, together with time/expenses associated

Working conditions

When in our offices, the candidate will work in the Technical Office situated in Guanzate,  generally in front of a computer.

The candidate will have to do frequent visits to customers’ sites for start-up commissioning & on site technical support. Depending on the distance between our offices & customer’s site, travel could be by car, train or plane.

Skills

• Technical engineer (Industrial)
• Advanced knowledge in programming, process & control systems
• Strong knowledge of English, spoken and written
• Fluent in Spanish
• User’s knowledge of Windows, Office, AutoCad, CRM, Internet etc
• Basic knowledge of industrial processes & instrumentation.
• Driving License

Principal function

The candidate will be responsible for the coordination and management of all aspects of project implementation according to the established time schedule.

Functions & Specific responsibilities

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Project Manager will:

• Plan, organize and direct all activities as required for the full implementation of project goals and objectives.
• Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
• Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities.
• Review the project schedule with the Engineering Manager and all staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required.
• Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion.
• Ensure that all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the organization and the project.
• Ensure that project activities are consistent with the project objectives.
• Execute the project according to the project plan.
• Develop forms and records to document project activities.
• Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured.
• Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.
• Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff on the progress of the project.
• Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards.
• Liaise all variances on project with customer and communicate to the Sales team.
• Ensure the project meets targets, budgets and time-lines, with appropriate reporting and evaluation.
• Seek reports & information from the project team members.
• Monitor and approve all budgeted project expenditures.
• Coordinate all supplies with Procurement Engineer.
• Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to the Engineering Manager on a regular basis.
• Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date.
• Develop, complete and finalize all project deliverables according to the timeline.
• Ensure that project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.
• Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.

Working conditions

• The Project Manager usually works in an office environment but the purpose of the project requires frequent visits to customers’ installations and sites.
• The Project Manager works a standard work week but may be required to do some overtime to meet project milestones.

Knowledge, Skills and Habilities

• The candidate will hold an Engineering University degree.
• At least 2 years experience in Project & Man Management.
• Proficiency in the use of computers for Word processing, Database management, Spreadsheets, E-mails, Internet etc.
• Financial understanding (cost control)
• Good working knowledge of electronic process instrumentation systems engineering and a working knowledge of computer based control systems would be a plus.
• High level of spoken & written English, fluent Spanish.
